Ilham Aliyev Attends Opening of Second Family-Linked Hotel in Aghdam

On December 23, President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of the Hilton Garden Inn Aghdam hotel in the city of Aghdam. This marks the second hotel project in the region implemented by companies linked to the President’s family.

The hotel complex covers more than two hectares and consists of three blocks with 2, 6, and 7 floors. It includes 127 rooms with a total capacity of 287 beds. The infrastructure features a restaurant, public catering areas, conference and event halls, banquet facilities, an indoor swimming pool, and a fitness center.

Part of the global Hilton brand portfolio, the Hilton Garden Inn Aghdam project was developed by TABIA Group and represents the second hotel opened in Aghdam following the earlier launch of the Aghdam City Hotel.

TABIA Group, formerly known as PMD Hospitality, was established in 2016 and rebranded in 2023. With a charter capital of 123 million manats, the company operates in hotel management, resort development, and wellness services. Its portfolio includes Chenot Palace Gabala, Gashaltı Health Hotel, Chinar Hotel & SPA, Garabagh Resort & SPA, Galaalti Hotel & SPA, Lankaran Springs Wellness Resort, Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Gence, Shamakhi Palace Sharadil, and several other high-end properties.

TABIA Group is a subsidiary of PMD Group, which operates in agriculture, processing, construction, hospitality, and banking. PMD Group is linked to Pasha Holding, a business group owned by the President’s daughters.

Through its subsidiaries—Absheron Hotel Group, TABIA Group, and PMD Group—Pasha Holding owns and manages nearly 30 luxury hotels, resorts, and villa complexes in Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Georgia. All three companies are registered at the same address: 153 Neftchilar Avenue, Baku, where Pasha Holding’s headquarters, Port Baku Towers, is located.

Thus, the Hilton Garden Inn Aghdam hotel inaugurated by President Ilham Aliyev is owned by TABIA Group, which operates under PMD Group and forms part of the Pasha Holding corporate structure linked to the President’s family.
