Residents of Khojavend Complain About the Quality of Newly Built Homes and Unpaid Wages

Complaints about the quality of homes built under the government's reconstruction program in the Khojavend district continue to emerge. Videos circulating on social media show residents raising concerns about construction defects, while construction workers claim they have not been paid their wages for months.

Khojavend resident Ramil Telman oglu Huseynov said in a video that the house allocated to him has serious construction defects. According to him, large cracks have appeared in the perimeter wall, which is now at risk of collapsing.

"The wall has cracked, and rain has washed away its foundation. It was built with mud. Does someone have to die under it? The heating boiler doesn't work either," the resident says in the video.

He claims that the house was built with poor quality workmanship and that the problems have not been addressed despite his complaints.

Some social media users have also linked the poor quality of construction to the alleged non-payment of workers' wages.

"The workers are not to blame. Many of them were never paid, so they ended up doing the work carelessly. There are still work crews waiting to receive their wages," one user wrote.

In another video, the quality of doors installed in homes in Khojavend is criticized. The person recording the video claims that one of the doors nearly came off its hinges when a child tried to close it.

"The companies you appointed are deceiving you like this, Mr. President Aliyev," the narrator says.

Another video concerns construction work in Arkul village of the Khojavend district. Individuals identifying themselves as employees of Proline LLC claim they have not received their salaries for the past two months.

According to the workers, the company's management has refused to meet with them and has provided no official explanation regarding the delayed wage payments.

At the time of publication, Proline LLC had not publicly commented on these allegations. The government agencies responsible for reconstruction work in Khojavend have also not responded to the complaints.
