Concerns are emerging over the quality of housing provided to residents returning to the Karabakh region, with allegations of poorly constructed and incomplete homes.

A resident identified as Fariz, currently living at 157 Heydar Aliyev Avenue in the city of Lachin, has publicly raised complaints about the condition of the house allocated to him. In video footage he shared, Fariz alleges that low-quality materials were used in the construction, that the building process was carried out negligently, and that it did not comply with established construction standards. He also claims that some equipment listed in the official construction estimates was missing.

According to Fariz, visible cracks have already appeared on the building’s facade, despite the house having been recently commissioned. He further alleges that the foundation was not properly laid, raising concerns about the structural integrity of the building.

The resident also points to inadequate insulation, stating that the ceiling is poorly insulated and that heating the house has proven difficult. He claims that certain materials and equipment that were supposed to be used during construction are entirely absent.

Video footage reviewed appears to show the yard in poor condition. Stones used in the construction of the stairs are reportedly deteriorating, and the entrance gate has been improperly installed, making it impossible for a vehicle to enter the property.

Expressing frustration, the resident states that he feels deceived and disrespected. In his appeal, he calls on the country’s president to personally visit and inspect his home to witness the conditions firsthand.
