Transparency International: Azerbaijan ranks lowest in the region in corruption index

Transparency International has released its 2026 Corruption Perceptions Index. According to the report, Azerbaijan ranks lowest among the South Caucasus countries.
In the ranking, Georgia is placed 56th, Armenia 65th, and Azerbaijan 130th, making Azerbaijan the weakest performer in the region.
The report also notes that 23 African countries rank higher than Azerbaijan in terms of perceived corruption. The Transparency International index is an international indicator measuring perceived levels of corruption in the public sector.
